TriCore’s Data Management Division applies in-house Oracle expertise to your storage requirements. The following are a partial portfolio of our offerings.

Oracle performance optimization and right-tiering

Enterprise Flash Drives (EFDs) create a new performance tier within the storage array, Tier Zero. In rough numbers, one EFD can deliver the same amount of IOPS as 30 300GB/15k rpm FC drives. The performance improvements offered by EFDs are particularly dramatic when used in a heavily transactional storage area whose disk access is random. Such as Oracle databases. Using EFDs with Oracle can immediately reduce wait times without heavy re-write of the underlying SQL code.

RMAN backup to Cloud

TriCore Solutions “Oracle RMAN to Cloud” service combines cloud storage, CloudArray’s gateway-to-cloud technology, and Oracle expertise to deliver an offsite RMAN backup solution that offers the recovery speed of disk with the low cost of tape. TriCore offers this as a one-time cost or as a managed service.

UNIX-to-Linux migrations for Oracle EBusiness suite

Moving from proprietary UNIX hardware to commodity Linux-on-Intel makes great sense long-term. Short term it creates enormous issues in managing the migration of your Oracle environment without expending internal resources or disrupting business operations. TriCore is experienced in these migrations and can develop a plan to move to Linux with minimum pain. Bullets in the project plan include:

Oracle Virtual Machine

TriCore is a champion for OVM. Oracle VM is server virtualization software that supports both Oracle and non-Oracle applications, and delivers more efficient performance. This is the only server virtualizaton supported by Oracle. Oracle VM Templates deliver rapid software deployment and eliminate installation and configuration costs by providing pre-installed and pre-configured software images. Oracle is the only software vendor to combine the benefits of server clustering and server virtualization technologies, delivering integrated clustering, virtualization, storage, and management for grid computing.

VMware Accelerator for Oracle TriCore’s

VMware Accelerator for Oracle (VAO) enables rapid deployment of Oracle in a virtualized platform. The architecture used allows implementation of critical Oracle utilities and other enabling technologies to ensure high availability, ease of management, disaster recovery, SQL optimization, remote backup/restore, and improved performance.
